Beiennale Opening

Easily one of the most prestigious art and architecture events in the world, the return of the exclusive has been much-awaited. This is a special year, too, because the contemporary art exhibition is curated by Adriano Pedrosa, the first Latin American to hold the position. This year is the 60th anniversary of the Biennale exhibition. The theme? foreigners — Centering on artists with diverse backgrounds such as foreigners, immigrants, expatriates, diasporic individuals, émigrés, exiles, and refugees, particularly those who have traversed between the Global South and the Global North, this Biennale prioritizes their creative output. The main emphasis of the International Exhibition lies in showcasing the works of these artists, forming the core of contemporary art. Additionally, the exhibition will include a Historical Core, bringing together artworks from the 20th century representing Latin America, Africa, the Arab world, and Asia. The great thing about the Venice Biennale is that it runs from May to November, so you have plenty of time to visit this spring and beyond.
