Finally. Outdoor season is open.

From a 50-metre rooftop pool in Florence to a sky-high bar above the Glasgow skyline, The Social Hub's outdoor spaces are made for this. No room key required. Pools, rooftop bars and sun-drenched terraces, open to guests, day visitors and everyone in between.

You know the feeling. That first week when it is suddenly warm enough to sit outside without negotiating with your coat. When a cold drink on a rooftop stops being aspirational and starts being an actual plan for today.

At The Social Hub, that moment has a home. Across Europe, our rooftop bars, pools and terraces are open again. Whether you are booked in for the week, visiting for the afternoon, or just looking for the best seat in the city, there is a spot with your name on it.

Here is your guide to every outdoor space we have. Start planning.

Lively by default and chill by choice.

Every outdoor space at The Social Hub has its own character, shaped by the city it sits in, the community that uses it and the menu that comes with it. But they all share the same energy: social without being loud, lively without being a lot.

Rooftop bars run weekly events. Think drinks evenings, cultural moments and the kind of spontaneous nights that are not easy to plan but are very easy to stumble into. Come for a cocktail and stay for whatever happens next.

Think Bologna's Discovinello nights, where natural wine meets a DJ set in a palm-lined courtyard. Or Madrid's Kitchen Takeover series, where guest chefs cook above the city while the evening plays out across three terraces. Or Toulouse's Sunset Silent Disco in July, with an Afro House set, champagne and a rooftop dressed for it. Every hub has its own version of a good night out.

The pools are a different kind of good. They are where you remember that going on holiday should actually feel like going on holiday. Sun lounger, cold drink, view. That is the whole plan.

And the food? Every menu carries a local thread: ingredients, flavours and dishes that belong to the city you are in. At SiSi, our rooftop bar in Barcelona and Glasgow, that means bold cocktails and sharing plates with a Mexican-inspired twist. Elsewhere the influence changes. The quality does not.

You do not need to be staying with us.

Pools and rooftop bars at The Social Hub are open to day guests. That means you can book a hotel stay and have access to everything, or you can show up as a visitor and enjoy the rooftop bar, the terrace and the views without a room key in your pocket.

Hotel guests get the full picture: pool access, rooftop bar and a base in the middle of a city worth exploring. Day guests come for the afternoon or evening and leave with a very good reason to come back. Students and long-stay guests treat the outdoor spaces like an extension of home, which for a lot of them they genuinely are.

However you arrive, the outdoor spaces are the same. Open, social and very much worth the trip.

Things worth knowing before you go.

Madrid's rooftop pool has a glass bottom. Stand on the first-floor staircase and watch people swim above you.

Florence Belfiore has a 50-metre rooftop pool surrounded by a park designed by award-winning garden designer Antonio Perazzi.

Toulouse is the only building in the city with an outdoor rooftop swimming pool. Worth knowing if you are choosing where to stay.

Rome's hub includes a 10,000m² park that is open to the public, because great outdoor space should not require a booking.

Where to find us outdoors.

Across our 21 hubs in Europe, here is where the outdoor spaces are and what is waiting when you get there.

Rooftop bar and pool

Barcelona. Rooftop pool and SiSi restaurant and bar in the creative Poblenou neighbourhood. City views, great cocktails and pool access open to day guests. Come May, the season opens with a party - then DJ sets and live music nights at SiSi keep things going all summer.

Florence Lavagnini. Rooftop pool with direct views of the Duomo di Firenze. One of the most iconic swim spots in Europe. From the season launch on 15 May with Ciao Bella, followed by live music, Italian disco, and Wednesday rooftop sessions that carry the energy through to September.

Florence Belfiore. A 50-metre rooftop pool, panoramic park and bar. Opened in 2025 and already one of our flagships. Our summer event programme matches the ambition with a Rooftop Festival in May, Pitti Party and San Giovanni Fireworks in June, and a Falling Stars Night on 10 August.

Toulouse. The only building in the city with a rooftop pool, paired with a local-influenced menu and city views to match. Add weekly acoustic sessions, rooftop yoga and a Fête de la Musique celebration on 21 June and there is very little reason to be anywhere else.

Madrid. Rooftop pool with a glass bottom and three terraces sitting opposite the Royal Palace. Need we say more. Wax Sessions on Thursdays, Friday Selectors DJ nights every week, and a monthly Kitchen Takeover bringing guest chefs up to the rooftop.

Porto. Atlantic city, rooftop pool, cold drink. Portugal doing what it does best. Wednesdays go acoustic, Thursdays go vinyl-only, and the season kicks off with an opening night in May.

Rome. Rooftop bar and pool with a 10,000m² public park below. The San Lorenzo district's best-kept open secret. One that gets a little harder to keep with live jazz on Thursdays, Social Skyline events on Fridays, and Domenica Italiana Sundays bringing local food, games and good company to the park.

San Sebastián. The largest rooftop pool in the city at 25 metres, with panoramic mountain and city views. Sunday sunset sessions and a weekly vermouth hour make it an easy place to lose track of the afternoon.

Pool

Bologna. An oasis in the city: outdoor pool at the centre of a palm tree-lined courtyard. Unexpected and very good. Natural wine nights, an Italodisco vinyl series and a weekly Out of Office drinks format that has a habit of going later than anyone planned.

Paris. Pool access for hotel guests and day visitors, situated in La Défense, Europe's largest business district.

Rooftop bar and terrace

Glasgow. SiSi rooftop restaurant and bar at the top floor of The Social Hub. Bold cocktails, Mexican inspired sharing plates, late-night DJs and a view over the city.

Maastricht. Rooftop bar in a beautifully converted ceramics factory. The Netherlands' most underrated outdoor seat.

Terraces and courtyards

Not every great outdoor space is a rooftop or a pool. Across our other hubs, terraces and courtyards offer a quieter way to get outside: a good coffee, a working lunch in the fresh air, or simply somewhere to decompress between meetings.

Amsterdam City and Amsterdam West both have outdoor terraces. Delft, Eindhoven, Groningen, Rotterdam and Vienna have terraces well suited for having a bite together, working outside or meeting over a drink. Berlin and Florence Lavagnini have courtyards: tucked-away outdoor spaces that feel a long way from a city street.

Several rooftop bar hubs also have terraces alongside their pools and bars: Madrid, Porto, Rome, San Sebastián, and Glasgow all have terrace spaces in addition to their headline outdoor offer. Rome also has a courtyard connected to its 10,000m² public park.

Something’s always on.

Coming to the rooftop or the pool is reason enough on its own. But across our hubs, there is usually something happening beyond the sun loungers and the cocktail list.

Think weekly vinyl sessions on Madrid's rooftop as the city eases into its long evenings. Live jazz in Rome's park on a Thursday night. A cumbia-and-canapés season opener at SiSi in Barcelona. Rooftop yoga and acoustic sunset sets in Toulouse. A Breakfast Club coffee rave in Bologna's courtyard, or a Kiki Ball on the Belfiore rooftop in Florence. The format changes by city. The energy is the same.

Whether you come alone, with a partner, with friends or the whole family in tow, there is a version of The Social Hub’s outdoor season that fits. The rooftop does not ask much of you. Just show up. Keep an eye on our local instagram channels for the latest events.

Rooftop pools, sky-high bars, sun-soaked terraces, tucked-away courtyards. Across 21 hubs in nine countries, there is an outdoor space at The Social Hub with your name on it. One very good reason to stop making plans and start making bookings

Whether you are looking for a rooftop pool with a view that makes you forget what city you are in, or a bar where the evening has a habit of going longer than expected, it starts here.
